Get To Know Me
What am I up to?
Its been about 2 years since I graduated and I learned a lot since then. I immediately joined a start up and I really got to put my hands on the whole project. However, I was laid off recently so I am on the job market looking for a great opportunity to expand my skills. Aside from that, I am training for my first triathlon and I am excited to see what I can do.
What I enjoy
Board Games
Enlightened by my first game of Settlers of Catan, I knew my favorite pass time was board games. The iconic weekends when all my family came to my house and played board games. Or those late nights of study and the best break was playing betrayal at house on the hill. I couldn't help but have a good time. It is a great way to break the ice and get to know people.
Swimming
If I had an element, it would be water. My mother made the mistake of signing me up for swimming lessons as a kid and since then I couldn't be kept away from water. Whether it is swimming in the pool or gliding on the beach, I love it all. When I was in a swim team, I Â just swam back and forth for hours, and that was more fun than work. But going back and forth did get repetitive.
Family IT
As technology advanced, I started seeing my family bring more into our home. But for some reason, I was the only one who knew how to use it. As each of us had a role in our home, mine was IT and I don't mind it. For instance, now in the pandemic, my sister had to bring work home and I created her work environment for max productivity. Getting adapters, upgrades, and drivers to make sure everything worked nicely.
Lights Lights Lights!
My dive into engineering started with the LED. There can never be too many LEDs. The beautiful display of light within the darkness made me create my own LED light shows. They are great gifts and room decorations.
Make Noise
There are three instruments I can play at different levels: piano, guitar, and Alto-Saxophone. I had 7 years of Saxophone experience but ever since I could no longer borrow a school instrument, I am out of practice. But anyway, playing some noise is enjoyable. That perfect vibration when you hit the note right is what I play for. Â With a guitar easily accessible, there are moments I stop and strum.
Listen or Dance or Both to music
The one thing I miss the most due to the pandemic is dancing. I do not have moves but I can groove. It was the best part of being a chambelan. I cannot wait until I can go to a family gathering and go on the dance floor.
